Ambre Rubis is a tribute to the ruby, the king of gemstones. The brand's story is about a stone found by an explorer in a sacred cave and kept for centuries in a remote palace, where it is said to bring vitality, courage and success. The fragrance is a sweet, fruity and ambery composition launched in 2024, created by perfumers Antoine Lie and Luca Maffei.

The fragrance opens with red berries, incense, pink pepper and orange. At its heart are cherry, rum and jasmine, and it settles into a base of ambergris, woody notes, cedarwood and spruce resin.

About Houbigant

Houbigant is a French perfume house founded in 1775 by Jean-François Houbigant on the rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré in Paris, and it soon perfumed royal and aristocratic clients. The house is behind classics such as Fougère Royale from 1882, which the brand highlights as a fragrance that defined the fougère family, and Quelques Fleurs from 1912. Since 2005, the Perris family has controlled the Houbigant name for perfume and cosmetics.
